Conduct Cross-Connection Control HACCP Audits of industrial, commercial, military and medical facilities to ensure that Potable/Drinking Water Systems are protected against contamination due to backflow or improperly plumbed connections.
NOTE: A Cross-Connection Control HACCP Audit (Survey) typically consists of an on-site inspection and evaluation of plumbing connections to water-connected equipment and associated plumbing infrastructure; the purpose of which is to prevent backflow (reverse flow) of non-potable substances into the potable water distribution system.
Verify existing backflow prevention security measures, at critical control points, for water-connected equipment and other water usages, including recycled-reclaimed water.
Coordinate annual testing of backflow prevention devices.
Serve as Cross-Connection Control Contact Person, including submission of Annual Compliance Report and liaison with Water System Regulators.
Provide plan review and risk management consultation, regarding acceptable means of isolating water-connected equipment and other plumbing installations so as to protect potable water supply lines against pollution, contamination, or physical hazards, which may result from backflow through uncontrolled cross-connections.
Investigate Cross-Connection Control aspects of drinking water contamination-backflow incidents, including Legionella and provide expert witness testimony in litigation issues.
Submit confidential report of findings.
Design Cross-Connection Control security programs for Private Entities, Water Purveyors and Municipalities.
